GIVING BACK

When founding the company, Samantha Ashton had a vision to not only provide gifts inspired by Mother Nature but to help preserve our planet.  With this in mind she made a promise that every candle purchased will give back to nature.

After much research in finding a suitable foundation to contribute to Samantha settled on One Tree Planted, an environmental charity whose mission is humble:

“To make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees!”

Why Trees:

• Trees clean the air.
• Trees sequester around 20% of the carbon in the atmosphere (carbon contributes to climate change).
• Trees help clean the water. Trees act as like a filter when there's heavy rain, absorbing the water and releasing it gradually.
• Trees help with soil erosion.
• Trees have a social (1.6 billion people on this planet are somehow connected to forests for their livelihood).
• Trees are home to 80% of the world’s biodiversity (on land).
